Fried Chicken Specials at Kababees
When you’re feeding a group or want a well-rounded meal in one package, our Fried Chicken Specials (Box Meals) are the way to go. These box deals bundle our crispy fried chicken with classic sides, offering great value and convenience. We have a range of sizes – each charmingly named – to suit different appetites, from an individual lunch to a whole party. Here’s a breakdown of each:
- Snack Box – A perfect quick meal: 2 pieces of fried chicken, plus your choice of side (either creamy mashed potatoes or tangy coleslaw) and 1 soft roll. It’s basically a personal meal deal; ideal if you’re a bit hungry but don’t need a feast. Think of it as a hearty snack or light lunch (it lives up to its name).
- Dinner Box – A bit more substantial for one person: 3 pieces of fried chicken with mash or coleslaw, and 1 roll. This is your classic fried chicken dinner in a box. Three pieces is enough to satisfy a good hunger. Many order this for a filling supper or a midday meal that keeps them going.
- Jumbo Box – Stepping up to feed maybe one very hungry individual or two lighter eaters: 5 pieces of chicken with mash and coleslaw (yes, both sides included) and 2 rolls. This one ensures you get a bit of everything – plenty of chicken and both of our delicious traditional sides. Good for sharing between two people if you’re not ravenous, or perfect for one if you want leftovers or have a big appetite[13] (the mash comes with gravy, and the coleslaw is made fresh, so you’re in for a treat).
- Dinner Box – (I believe “Dinner Box” is the 3-piece described above, likely an error in repeating – possibly they meant “Jumbo Box” is the 5-piece as described, so I’ll clarify Jumbo and proceed to Family.)
- Family Box – Designed for a small family or group: 9 pieces of chicken, 2 servings of mash (or you can choose coleslaw for one – we allow a mix), 1 side salad, and 4 rolls[13]. Here we start getting into true family meal territory. Nine pieces could comfortably feed about 3-4 people (depending on hunger levels) and the sides are portioned to share. The inclusion of a salad here adds a fresh element for balance (perhaps we thought, let’s get some greens in for the family!). Four rolls are there so everyone can have that bread accompaniment – great for making impromptu sliders or simply buttering and enjoying alongside.
- Kababees Box – A larger feast named after our restaurant: 15 pieces of chicken, 2 servings of mash, 1 salad, and 6 rolls[13]. This is the choice for a bigger family or small gathering. Fifteen pieces can feed around 5-6 people (again depending on appetite) and we keep the sides generous. It’s basically scaling up the Family Box: more chicken, more rolls, still plenty of sides. Great option if you have a few friends over or a big family dinner planned.
- Party Box – The granddaddy for a crowd: 21 pieces of chicken, 3 servings of mash, 2 salads, and 12 rolls[13]. This is your go-to for a party, as the name suggests, or any event where you want to feed around 8-10 people with ease. You get a whole heap of chicken and a bounty of sides to match. Two salads ensure there’s enough crunch to go around, and a dozen rolls mean everyone can grab bread (maybe even make mini chicken sandwiches). This is also a popular choice for game day gatherings or office lunches.
(Each box’s contents are listed clearly on our menu, but the above is a handy guide. For example, the Snack and Dinner Boxes come with mash or coleslaw (your choice), whereas starting from Jumbo Box upwards, you get both mash and coleslaw (except those are superseded by salad in Family boxes onward). Additionally, Family onward includes salad(s) and more rolls. It’s a whole spread in one package.)
Across all these boxes, the chicken included is our standard fried chicken by the piece – golden, crispy, and deliciously seasoned. We make sure to pack a good mix of pieces (breasts, thighs, legs, wings) in the larger boxes so everyone can have their favorite cut. The sides (mash and coleslaw) are the same tasty ones you might order à la carte: the mashed potatoes are buttery and come with a savory gravy, and the coleslaw is creamy, with a nice balance of sweet and tangy – a great palate refresher between bites of fried chicken. The salad in the bigger boxes is typically a simple green salad with dressing on the side, to add some freshness to your meal. The rolls included are soft dinner rolls – perfect for smearing with butter or using to mop up any gravy from the mash. Some people even split them and put a bit of chicken and coleslaw inside to make a mini sandwich – highly recommended!
These Fried Chicken Special boxes are about convenience and value. Instead of piecemeal ordering individual chicken and sides, you grab a box and you’re set. We often see families picking up a Family or Kababees Box for an easy weekend dinner, or offices ordering a Party Box or two for a team lunch. Everything comes neatly packed and ready to serve. If you have a mixed group, combining a box or two with some extra sides or items from our menu creates a fun, buffet-style spread.
Whatever your need – a solo meal or feeding a group – there’s a Fried Chicken Special box for that. It’s our way of taking the stress out of planning a fried chicken feast. Just pick the size that suits you, and we’ll take care of making sure you have plenty of crispy chicken and all the fixings to keep everyone happy and full. It’s homestyle comfort, squared – and done Kababees style. Enjoy! (One small note: Our mash and gravy and coleslaw are made in-house daily, so you get that homemade quality. And if you ever have a preference (say two mash instead of one mash one slaw in a certain box, or vice versa), just let us know – we’re usually able to accommodate swaps. We want your box to be perfect for you!)
